The household has
developed around the districts of Seuna and San Pietro, while the heart
of the city has always been represented by C.rso Garibaldi (the old way
Majore).
In late 1800 and early
1900, the town experienced a period of great cultural and artistic so
that was called the Athens Sarda.
The scarce economic
resources of the territory, largely mountainous and arid, have always
been an obstacle for development.
The agriculture and
pastoralism are still practiced but to a much lesser degree than before.
